Back from Nebraska

Tracy and I got back from Nebraska Saturday night after seeing our new baby nephew and visiting friends and relatives. We didn’t get to see everyone, though.

We were out at my grandparents farm shooting blue rocks (well, orange rocks) and discovered that Tracy needs to shoot left-handed because she’s left-eye dominant. Both my grandpa and mother shoot that way, too, despite being right-handed. Once she switched was did much better and hit most of the targets. Below is a picture of Tracy shooting right-handed. I had her switch after that shot, having noticed she was always shooting off to the same side.

We saw Tracy’s grandma and aunt Thursday north of where my family and some of Tracy’s family live. We spent the day there except for a drive up to South Dakota to get some of our photos printed. We didn’t get as many as we wanted but the library machines were on a slow connection.

Friday we had a picnic with some more of Tracy’s family.

On Saturday is was back to the airport, but not before stopping first at Spaghetti Works in the Old Market in Omaha and meeting some of our friends from back in college. We had a good time and then had to get going.

700 emails later it’s time to get back to work.
