A Night Off

September 29, 2008 Leave a comment Go to comments

A friend from asked – no, demanded – to babysit Sommer. She’s good with Sommer so we had no problem with it. Tracy and I for the first time were able to go out. We made reservations at Benihana for 9:00 and had drinks at Vessel while waiting.

Benihana is a teppanyaki restaurant so we had a lot of fun watching our quite jovial chef prepare our table’s food before our eyes. 6 others sat with us and 4 of those were quite friendly. We stayed and talked with them a bit after about various things including the up-coming winter Olympics in Vancouver, B.C., just north of the Washington border.

But alas, after all that we were both tired and staying out all night our first night away from Sommer wasn’t the more enticing of ideas. Some other time, perhaps.
